Marc Cloos­ter­man is CEO of VIM Group. Marc regu­larly speaks for both prac­ti­tio­ners and aca­de­mics, and he has writ­ten a num­ber of arti­cles on brand imple­men­ta­tion. In addi­tion to his role at VIM Group, Marc foun­ded Brand Finance (Nether­lands) in 2004, a joint ven­ture bet­ween VIM Group and Brand Finance Plc in Lon­don. Brand Finance spe­cia­li­zes in the finan­cial valua­tion of brands, and it ope­ra­tes in fif­teen coun­tries.   Marc’s first career was with KPMG. In addi­tion to his trai­ning as a char­te­red accoun­tant (NIvRA/Nyenrode), he par­ti­ci­pa­ted in the Inter­na­tio­nal Mar­ke­ting Pro­gram at INSEAD.


VIM Group

The Visual Iden­tity Manage­ment Group (VIM Group) is the inde­pen­dent lea­der in brand and reb­rand manage­ment solu­ti­ons. We deve­l­o­ped the disci­pline ‘brand imple­men­ta­tion manage­ment’ in 1991. Since then we have deve­l­o­ped a glo­bal net­work and have suc­cess­fully car­ried out more than 1,200 brand imple­men­ta­ti­ons.   We advise and sup­port lea­ding inter­na­tio­nal orga­ni­sa­ti­ons on every step of the reb­ran­ding pro­cess. Often we are invol­ved from the start of a reb­rand. In our expe­ri­ence the ratio bet­ween the expen­ditures for bran­ding con­sul­tants and design com­pa­red to the cost for imple­men­ta­tion could be 1 to 20, depen­ding of the size and com­ple­xity of the orga­niza­tion. Con­side­ring the import­ance of the imple­men­ta­tion of a brand we bud­get and scope the imple­men­ta­tion first.We test, plan, manage and imple­ment the actual phy­si­cal chan­ge­over of bran­ded assets such as signage, inte­ri­ors, way­fin­ding, sta­tio­nery, vehi­cles and equip­ment, uni­forms, print media, and IT app­li­ca­ti­ons.   Our goal: maxi­mise brand value by imple­men­ting and mana­ging a visual iden­tity that is con­sis­tent on any car­rier any­where in the world. We make brands look good.   We carry out inter­na­tio­nal visual iden­tity pro­jects toge­ther with local part­ners. We have our part­ners in Great Bri­tain, Bene­lux, Ger­many, Aus­tra­lia, the United Sta­tes, Canada and the United Arab Emirates.
