Achim Heine founded Heine/Lenz/Zizka in 1989 with Michael Lenz and Peter Zizka. He studied mathematics and physics at Frankfurt’s Goethe University and design at the University of Design in Offenbach. As a product designer, he designed experimental furniture and various industrial products such as cameras and binoculars for Leica.
Achim Heine has received numerous prizes and awards; his works are showcased in numerous national and international museums and collections. He has been professor of experimental design at the Berlin University of the Arts since 1993.
