Chris spent the first decade of his career as a design direc­tor for Urban Out­fit­ters devel­op­ing the company’s brand through retail space and inte­ri­or design. He left to work as an art direc­tor at Google, lead­ing a team respon­si­ble for brand­ing and design. He was the visu­al design lead for Project Kennedy, Google’s first brand/design guide­lines that became the basis for Mate­r­i­al Design, which he also helped devel­op. He is cur­rent­ly work­ing as a cre­ative direc­tor at YouTube, lead­ing a prod­uct brand­ing team and in 2017, he launched the first brand sys­tem update in the company’s his­to­ry.

 

In his time between jobs, he has designed for: Adobe, Amer­i­can Greet­ings, Carhartt WIP, Con­verse, J Crew, Medi­um, the Muse­um of Con­tem­po­rary Art, Nike, Poke­to, Puma, RVCA, School­house Elec­tric, The Stan­dard, Twit­ter / The Obvi­ous Corp, 2k by Ging­ham & Warn­er Bros.

 

He is French Amer­i­can and lives in San Fran­cis­co with his minia­ture dachs­hund, Theo, who is a girl.
