Chris spent the first decade of his career as a design director for Urban Outfitters developing the company’s brand through retail space and interior design. He left to work as an art director at Google, leading a team responsible for branding and design. He was the visual design lead for Project Kennedy, Google’s first brand/design guidelines that became the basis for Material Design, which he also helped develop. He is currently working as a creative director at YouTube, leading a product branding team and in 2017, he launched the first brand system update in the company’s history.

 

In his time between jobs, he has designed for: Adobe, American Greetings, Carhartt WIP, Converse, J Crew, Medium, the Museum of Contemporary Art, Nike, Poketo, Puma, RVCA, Schoolhouse Electric, The Standard, Twitter / The Obvious Corp, 2k by Gingham & Warner Bros.

 

He is French American and lives in San Francisco with his miniature dachshund, Theo, who is a girl.
