Hol­ger Vol­land lives in Frank­furt am Main and works as a pub­lic rela­tions spe­cial­ist. He runs the Frank­furt book fair’s “Frank­furt Acad­e­my”, and – as author and aca­d­e­m­ic – research­es mar­ket­ing and new media.


A large part of his work focus­es on mar­ket­ing strat­e­gy in the cre­ative sec­tor. His pre­vi­ous posi­tion was in mar­ket­ing and pub­lic rela­tions for the Ger­man Pub­lish­ers and Book­sellers Asso­ci­a­tion. Pri­or to that, he was a mem­ber of MetaDesign’s man­age­ment team in Berlin. After leav­ing uni­ver­si­ty, Hol­ger Vol­land worked as a cre­ative direc­tor at Pix­el­park in Berlin and New York, taught at the Uni­ver­si­ty of Wis­mar and man­aged Scholz & Friends’ New Econ­o­my Busi­ness School. He has also worked as gen­er­al man­ag­er at pub­lic rela­tions agency Leipziger & Part­ner in Berlin, curat­ed exhi­bi­tions in Ger­many and Argenti­na, and organ­ised the art projects “Notan­go” and “Berlin Buenos Aires Art Xchange”. He has also host­ed radio shows and conferences.
